Sports Coach - Schools Across Taunton | January 2026 Start

Location: Taunton, Somerset (various schools)
Contract: Ad Hoc, Flexible Hours
Salary: Competitive (Dependent on Experience)

This flexible, ad hoc role starting in January 2026 is ideal for someone who loves inspiring young people to develop their physical skills, teamwork, and confidence through sport.

About the Role

You'll be delivering engaging and structured sports coaching sessions across Key Stages 3 and 4, supporting PE lessons and extracurricular activities in different schools. This role offers variety and the chance to work with diverse student groups across Taunton.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality sports coaching sessions across KS3 and KS4
• Support PE teachers in planning and delivering lessons
• Organise and lead extracurricular sports clubs and activities
• Promote healthy lifestyles and positive attitudes towards physical activity
• Maintain high standards of behaviour and safety during sessions
• Foster a positive and inclusive environment for all students

What We're Looking For

• Relevant coaching qualifications or experience in sports coaching
• Strong knowledge of a variety of sports and physical education principles
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• Ability to motivate and inspire students
• A commitment to safeguarding and inclusive education
