Job Title: Sports Coach

Location: Bury, Greater Manchester

Salary: £103.95 - £110 per day (depending on experience)

Job Type: Temporary/Supply

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, organise, and deliver high‑quality sports coaching sessions to children and young people.
  • Encourage participation and build confidence in all participants, ensuring a positive, engaging, and inclusive environment.
  • Provide constructive feedback to help improve performance and skills.
  • Support children's social, emotional, and physical development through sports.
  • Work closely with schools, parents, and team members to ensure the success of the coaching programme.
  • Maintain records of player progress and provide regular reports on development.
  • Ensure the safety and well‑being of all participants in line with safeguarding policies and procedures.
Key Requirements
  • Proven experience in coaching sports, preferably in a school or youth sports setting.
  • Relevant coaching qualifications (e.g. FA Level 1, Level 2, or equivalent).
  • A passion for sports and working with children, with the ability to inspire and engage young athletes.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work with children, parents, and colleagues.
  • Ability to manage groups of children and maintain a positive and safe learning environment.
  • Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to undertake one).
