Sports Coach - Primary School (Blackpool)

Start Date: 1st December 2025
Contract: Full-time, ongoing
Location: Blackpool

Teaching Personnel are seeking an enthusiastic Sports Coach to join a welcoming two-form entry mainstream primary school in Blackpool. The position is due to start from 1st December 2025.

The school is looking for an energetic and motivated individual who can not only deliver engaging sports activities but also provide support as a general Teaching Assistant across Key Stage 2. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys inspiring children to reach their full potential, both in the classroom and through physical education.

Responsibilities
  • Delivering and supporting high-quality sports sessions and physical activities.
  • Working alongside class teachers to support learning across KS2.
  • Providing one-to-one and small group interventions when required.
  • Promoting teamwork, resilience, and positive behaviour through sport and classroom support.
  • Being flexible and adaptable to meet the needs of the school.
Qualifications
  • Have experience coaching or leading sports with children (school or club-based).
  • Be confident managing groups of pupils and supporting learning across the curriculum.
  • Hold strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Be passionate about promoting health, fitness, and wellbeing.
  • Ideally hold a relevant coaching qualification or have previous school-based experience.
