A healthcare provider in Wales is seeking a motivated Speech and Language Therapy Assistant to support adults with communication and swallowing difficulties. The role involves delivering therapeutic programmes, working closely with patients and therapists, and contributing to departmental training. We are delighted to offer a position within our Adult Speech and Language Therapy Team for an enthusiastic and motivated band 3 Speech and Language Therapy Assistant.
The role will focus on carrying out programmes for adults who have acquired Communication and or Eating/Drinking/Swallowing Difficulties and have been devised by Speech and Language Therapists.
You will work within a small and friendly adult team within the North and/or South of Powys.
You will need to be highly motivated and enthusiastic with an ability to work independently but also work well within a team.
Our team is friendly and supportive, and we are committed to regularly review our service delivery. We provide regular clinical supervision, CPD opportunities and appraisal system.

You will work within the Adult Speech and Language Therapy Team under the direction of a Speech and Language Therapist undertaking the following tasks:
The post holder will need to be confident, motivated, responsive, supportive and highly organised with excellent written and spoken communication skills.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post. Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
