Detailed job description and main responsibilities

As a team we work systemically to understand and support the significant impact and challenges experienced by adults with autism who are in mental health crisis, and their families.

We work with the network around the adult (e.g., Adult Mental Health, Social Care, Education) and work closely with commissioners. As a speech and language therapist you will have experience of multidisciplinary and multi-agency working, including attending and chairing regular MDTs, CETRs and EMDTs.

As a Speech and Language Therapist you would visit the adult in their home or in appropriate settings multiple times a week to engage them and carry out assessments and interventions.

This is an exciting time to join our Team as we mature and expand and continue to look for innovative ways to support the families we work with. If you are passionate and motivated and are driven to prevent children and adults with autism and mental health needs from being admitted to hospital, then we want to hear from you.
