We're looking for an experienced Speech and Language Therapist to join a forward-thinking special school in Surrey, supporting pupils with profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD), physical disabilities, and complex communication needs.

This is a permanent, full-time role offering a competitive salary, structured caseload, and one day of remote working per week. The role would suit a Band 6 clinician or an experienced Band 5 ready to grow in a specialist educational setting.

You'll join a collaborative and welcoming therapy team working closely with teachers, teaching assistants, and families to provide integrated, holistic communication support. The school is purpose-built, well-resourced, and committed to person-centred, evidence-informed practice.

You'll deliver assessments, develop and review individualised therapy plans, provide training to school staff, and contribute to multidisciplinary reviews and EHCPs.

If you're a passionate, organised clinician who wants to work in a setting where your input is genuinely valued - this role offers real professional satisfaction, supported development, and a flexible working structure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and plan interventions for students with complex communication needs
  • Deliver direct therapy and model strategies for staff and families
  • Work collaboratively with the therapy and teaching teams
  • Support the development and use of AAC systems and alternative strategies
  • Contribute to EHCPs, reports, and multidisciplinary reviews
  • Provide training and advice to school staff
  • Manage and prioritise a varied caseload
Qualifications and Experience
  • Recognised Speech and Language Therapy degree
  • HCPC registration and RCSLT membership
  • Experience with PMLD, Autism, AAC and physical disabilities
  • Strong collaborative skills and teamworking mindset
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Knowledge of EHCP processes and specialist education settings
  • Band 6 preferred; Band 5 with relevant experience welcomed
