Job description
Overview

Paediatric Speech and Language Therapist – School Based, Sutton, South London. Permanent position working term time only with fully paid school holidays. Salary up to £51,200 (including paid school holidays).

We are supporting a specialist school for children with ASD and associated needs. This posting includes roles across related positions with the Greater London area, including Senior Occupational Therapist and Primary Teacher opportunities, but the focus here is the Paediatric Speech and Language Therapist role in Sutton.

Qualifications
  • Be a qualified Speech and Language Therapist registered with the HCPC
  • Be a specialist with proven skills and experience to engage and deliver therapeutic interventions with children and young people with complex needs
  • Need experience of supporting teams around a child or young person to ensure they are provided with clinically informed living and learning environments and experiences
  • Be a confident, engaging and effective model, guide, leader and trainer
  • Be highly organised and ready to take the initiative
  • Be committed to ensuring the best outcomes for young people

  • Provide specialist speech and language therapy interventions for children and young people with complex needs in a school-based setting
  • Collaborate with education and residential colleagues to provide therapeutic living and learning environments
  • Work within a multi-disciplinary clinical team to offer individualized interventions based on clinical assessment and formulation
  • Support team around the child to ensure clinically informed practices are embedded in daily routines
  • Engage in monitoring and documenting progress and outcomes in line with professional standards
