Restorative Dentistry is seeking two fixed term part time (2PA) Specialty Dentist to join a dynamic, enthusiastic and forward‑thinking team. The department is currently involved in many exciting initiatives and are looking for an individual(s) with appropriate skills to complement this team and help keep the service in the forefront of clinical and academic excellence.
The post holders will be expected to show drive and initiative towards patient care putting the patient first. They should have significant experience in the provision of mandibular advancement devices for the management of obstructive sleep apnoea. They will be based within the Restorative dental services, and will work as part of the dental sleep service team. They will: run a weekly telephone clinic on site for new patients referred from the Medical Sleep Service for mandibular advancement devices; provide treatment for this interesting patient group and they may also be involved in the supervision of DCTs and clinical nurse specialists. There is a drive to work towards more use of digital technology and the post holder would be expected to be involved in development of this service, as well as closer working with the Medical Sleep Service.

Your job plan is anticipated to contain 2 Programmed Activities per week on average to be carried out at both Guys and St Thomas sites. This is an outline programme and you will be expected to discuss and agree a detailed job plan including your personal and professional objectives with your Clinical Lead within 3 months of your start date.
