Overview

Teaching Roles - SEMH Provision. Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with social, emotional, or mental health (SEMH) challenges? We are seeking proactive, enthusiastic, and highly motivated teaching staff to join one of our partner schools, a trauma-informed independent school with an attached alternative provision. They support children through bespoke, small-group and 1:1 academic and therapeutic interventions, with an approach rooted in understanding trauma and individual need.

Qualifications (Criteria)
  • Qualified Teachers (QTS preferred)
  • Unqualified teachers with substantial experience
  • ECTs with a strong SEN/SEMH background
  • Candidates with relevant degrees in education, teaching, or related fields
Requirements
  • Have a minimum of 3 years\' experience supporting children with SEN, SEMH, and challenging behaviour or have lived-in experience
  • Be confident in managing behaviour and building positive relationships with students using a trauma-informed approach
  • Deliver high-quality teaching and learning, tailored to individual needs
  • Show flexibility and resilience, with a proactive and solution-focused mindset
  • Be confident leading and working with support staff
  • Embrace safeguarding as a top priority and respond confidently to incidents
  • Have a strong team ethos and work collaboratively across the school
Key Responsibilities
  • Create and deliver personalised learning pathways aligned with the school\'s curriculum
  • Use trauma-informed strategies to support emotional regulation and engagement
  • Establish clear expectations, boundaries, and routines in line with the school\'s behaviour policy
  • Promote inclusion, equality, and emotional wellbeing across the school
  • Maintain open and effective communication with leadership, colleagues, and families
Working Hours & Flexibility
  • 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday
  • Core hours on site are 9:00am to 3:00pm, plus any scheduled staff meetings or compulsory training
  • Remaining contracted hours can be worked from home, subject to satisfactory performance
