Are you a skilled Speech and Language Therapist looking to make a meaningful impact? The Together Trust is seeking a Specialist Speech and Language Therapist to deliver high-quality services in mainstream schools across Greater Manchester. Youll work with a diverse range of students, supporting their communication development while contributing to a collaborative, multi-disciplinary team.
Location: Greater Manchester and surrounding areasHours: 30 hours/weekContract: Permanent, 41 weeks per year (term‑time only)Salary: £30,241.60 (pro‑rated from £41,490 FTE)Reports to: Speech and Language Therapy Team Lead

Role Overview:
Deliver specialist SaLT services at Universal, Targeted, and Specialist levels.
Work autonomously to provide assessment, therapy, training, and consultancy.
Support students, school staff, families, and carers with evidence-based interventions.
Supervise and mentor junior colleagues, contributing to professional development and clinical governance.
Be part of a dynamic, multi-disciplinary team including Occupational Therapists, Psychologists, and Positive Behaviour Support Practitioners.
What were looking for:
Degree in Speech and Language Therapy and HCPC registration.
Member of the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists.
Experience working with young people and adults with complex needs, learning disabilities, and Autism Spectrum Conditions.
Ability to deliver training and consultancy, manage a caseload autonomously, and provide clinical supervision.
Knowledge of best practice, assessment tools, and embedding therapy into learning activities.
Alongside an incredible team of like-minded peers, youll be working behind-the-scenes to support our staff, volunteers, families, and supporters. You will be helping our work happen across the charity; enabling us to care for and champion the rights, needs and ambitions of the people we support.
