A leading healthcare provider is looking for Specialist Haemato-oncology and Palliative Care Therapists to join a multidisciplinary team. An exciting opportunity has arisen for the roles ofSpecialist Haemato-oncology and Palliative Care (HOPe) Therapists (Occupational Therapist and Physiotherapist)within the Haematology, Oncology and Palliative Care Team at HDFT
1)Specialist Haemato-oncology and Palliative Care (HOPe) Occupational Therapist (30hrs per week Band 6)
2) Specialist Haemato-oncology and Palliative Care (HOPe) Physiotherapist (22.5 hours per week Band 6)
These are fixed term /secondment project post until 31/3/26 from start of appointment to develop and deliver a high-quality heamato- oncology and palliative care specialist Therapy service to patients under the care of HDFT
Main duties of the job
The post holders will work alongside the band 7 specialist occupational therapist who will lead the project within a multidisciplinary team consisting of Occupational therapist, Physiotherapist and Dietetic and administrative support
To provide specialist and autonomous evidence based HOP interventions, managing a complex caseload of outpatient and community patients to ensure optimal clinical outcomes
To provide a high standard of specialist therapy assessment and intervention for patients, with complex needs in the community, outpatients and specialist advice to therapy colleagues in hospital settings to:
