Job summary

A regional mental health provider in Exeter seeks a Clinical/Counselling Psychologist to improve the psychological health of clients with severe eating disorders. The successful candidate will deliver evidence-based therapies and engage in service improvements. Candidates must hold a doctorate in psychology and relevant registrations, with experience in specialist assessment and treatment. This role offers opportunities for further training and professional development while working in a multidisciplinary team and may require travel across Devon.

Qualifications

• Experience of specialist psychological assessment and treatment across various settings.
• Experienced working with clients with moderate-severe eating disorders.
• Further training in at least one psychological therapy.

Responsibilities

• Provide evidence-based psychological therapy to individuals with eating disorders.
• Contribute to MDT discussions and ensure clients' psychological needs are addressed.
• Supervise trainees and volunteers while providing clinical leadership.

Skills

Excellent verbal, nonverbal and written communication skills

Ability to integrate complex data

Proven organisational, planning and time management skills

Education

Doctorate in Clinical Psychology or Counselling Psychology

Registered with appropriate professional body (e.g. HCPC)
