Overview

We are looking to recruit a self-motivated and committed Dietitian to join our friendly and proactive department. We have an opportunity to join our Team as a Gastro Band 6 Dietitian, and provide a comprehensive nutrition and dietetics service across our hospital sites. This position is part of an expanding team with the opportunity to help shape the future of the service.

Responsibilities
  • To provide specialist dietetic support to patients within the acute setting, working closely with the MDT providing specialist advice.
  • To make assessments using a variety of sources of information and to provide results of assessment in verbal and written formats.
  • To maintain a holistic approach to patient care and involving relatives, carers and appropriate care agencies whenever possible in the treatment plans and programmes.
  • To be an integral member of the dietetic team working to ensure optimal nutritional care for patients as a key determinant of recovery and outcome.
  • Participation in training and education, including supporting students and Dietetic Assistant Practitioners.
