A healthcare trust in Wakefield is seeking a full-time pharmacist to join their antimicrobial team. The role involves delivering clinical pharmacy services, supporting infection control, and mentoring junior pharmacists. Candidates must have a Master's in Pharmacy and be registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council. We are seeking an exceptional pharmacist to join our pharmacy antimicrobial team.
The role will be full time (1 WTE) to meet the growing demands of the service.
We work closely with the microbiology and infection prevention and control teams to deliver the infection service for the Trust.
Our antimicrobial pharmacists are expected to contribute to multi-disciplinary team infection meetings for haematology, orthopaedics, infection prevention and control, home intravenous antibiotics, intravenous to oral antibiotic switch and infective endocarditis.
The successful candidate will be supported by a high-functioning team comprising senior pharmacy technician, pharmacy data analyst, advanced clinical pharmacists, consultant pharmacist and lead specialist nurse.
Daily activities will focus on outpatient parenteral antimicrobial therapy, intravenous to oral switch and complex infection advice, as well as general pharmacy service commitments.

Masters Degree in pharmacy obtained through four years undergraduate training.
Registered as a pharmacist with the General Pharmaceutical Council
Experience in pharmacy practice obtained through one year pre-registration training and examination.
A broad experience of clinical working in a number of specialty areas at a developed level.
Willing and able to travel throughout the Wakefield District area to cover community services roles.
