A healthcare organization in the UK seeks dynamic team players for the anaesthetic department. The role involves providing anaesthetic care in various settings including elective and emergency cases, and offers training opportunities with consultant supervision. This position promotes individual development and a healthy work-life balance, making it ideal for those looking to advance in anaesthetics within a supportive environment.
We are looking for dynamic team players to join the anaesthetic department to enhance their training and contribute to the service in obstetrics, theatres and Intensive Care. We are keen to foster individual interests and will encourage continued development with regular teaching and yearly appraisal.
The duties of the post are to provide anaesthetic care to patients coming for elective and emergency care, anaesthetic services to the labour ward, acute pain rounds and covering the Intensive Care Unit. The post will include theatre sessions both accompanied with one-to-one supervision by Consultant Anaesthetists and solo lists appropriate to grade of training and competence with local supervision by consultants. There would be opportunities to gain experience in regional anaesthesia and obstetric anaesthesia. The post will be for a period of one year with provision to be extended for another year, including placement in general theatres, obstetrics and ICU.
The department operates a full shift system and integrates anaesthetic trainees, fellows and speciality doctors into the on-call tier rotas. Daytime work comprises routine or emergency surgical lists, anaesthetic cover for labour ward and intensive care work (according to experience).
