Specialist Biomedical Scientist Job Information
Our pathology department is part of the collaborative East Coast Pathology Network (see attached document)
You will enjoy a varied range of responsibilities from maintaining the quality management system and UKAS accreditation, training of less experienced members of staff, validating and authorising results and most importantly providing quality service for our patients.
You will be expected to resolve complex equipment or process problems and perform manual, semi-automated and fully automated laboratory investigations, including specialist investigations, within defined service area accurately and efficiently.
You will participate in the day to day management of stock control and usage. This may include maintaining Blood Transfusion and Haematology stock levels and records and monitor usage to ensure efficient use where appropriate.
