Job Title: SEN Learning Support Assistant (Year 4)

Location: Notting Hill, London

Start Date: January

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Learning Support Assistant to join our supportive primary school community in Notting Hill, working with a child in Year 4 from January.

The successful candidate will provide tailored support to help the pupil access learning, develop confidence, and thrive both academically and socially. This is a rewarding role for someone who is patient, proactive, and passionate about supporting children with additional needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide 1:1 and/or small group support for a pupil with SEN in Year 4
  • Support learning activities under the direction of the class teacher and SENCo
  • Implement strategies and interventions to support academic and emotional development
  • Encourage independence, engagement, and positive behaviour
  • Monitor progress and provide feedback to teaching staff
  • Support the pupil's inclusion within the classroom and wider school life
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
  • Experience supporting children with SEN (e.g. ASD, ADHD, speech and language needs, or SEMH)
  • A calm, patient, and nurturing approach
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • A genuine passion for working with children
  • Relevant training or qualifications (desirable but not essential)
