Job Role - Special Needs Teaching Assistant
Location - St. Helen's
Start Date - January
Salary - £92 per day

Are you a passionate and dedicated Special Needs Teaching Assistant looking for a rewarding new role? We want you to join a fantastic school in St. Helen's who are offering a long-term, full-time role to start in January until February Half-Term with a view to extend. This role will be to support within the SEN Designated Provision supporting a range wide of Special Educational Needs.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide support to students who require additional help with learning.
  • Offer emotional and pastoral support to students to improve their confidence and self-esteem.
  • Help students with organisational skills, study techniques, and goal setting.
  • Support students with specific learning needs, including those with SEN (Special Educational Needs).
  • Foster a positive and inclusive school culture.
  • Work closely with teachers and parents to track and review student progress.
  • Contribute to the development of strategies to enhance student learning and well-being.
What we require:
  • Previous experience working with children or young people with Special Educational Needs
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with students
  • A compassionate and proactive approach to supporting student development.
  • A good understanding of the challenges some students face in learning and the strategies that can support them.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to meet the varied needs of students.
  • Team Teach is a bonus, but not essential.
  • A commitment to promoting equal opportunities and safeguarding.
