Special Needs Specialist – Full-time, temp to perm from January 2026

These long‑term opportunities are ideal for specialists with strong behaviour management skills who are passionate about supporting pupils with additional needs. Roles are available across Feltham and surrounding areas in schools and provisions that prioritise inclusive education and structured support for pupils with SEMH, autism, and complex learning needs.

Duties as Special Needs Specialist
  • Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with special educational needs
  • Implement behaviour strategies and individual support plans
  • Collaborate with SENCOs and teaching staff to create inclusive learning environments
  • Support pupils in managing emotional regulation and social interactions
  • Monitor progress and contribute to EHCP reviews and reports
  • Promote positive behaviour and pupil engagement across the school day
Ideal Special Needs Specialist
  • Holds relevant teaching or support qualifications (QTS, HLTA, Level 3 TA, etc.)
  • Has experience working with pupils with SEMH, autism, or complex needs
  • Demonstrates strong behaviour management and de‑escalation skills
  • Is confident supporting pupils both 1:1 and in small groups
  • Shows empathy, patience, and a proactive approach to challenges
  • Has a commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil welfare
