Job description
Overview

Senior Pharmacy Technician - Ward Services. Band 5, 24 hours per week, part time. This post is involved in working as part of the ward technician team in Aberdeen Royal Infirmary to provide support at a higher level to the clinical pharmacists, and is part of the pharmacy service within NHS Grampian that provides the provision of pharmaceutical care to patients.

It involves medicines reconciliation, assessing and checking patients' own supply, ordering and dealing with any queries of supply, and assisting in the organisation of prescriptions and supply for discharge. It works closely with the pharmacist and will be required to train and supervise less experienced technicians.

Applications are invited from registered technicians with suitable relevant experience. A dispensary checking technician qualification is required and if not already held, must be undertaken.
