About the Role

Connex Educationseeks an ambitious SEMH Home Tutor. You will be supporting students with special educational needs and social, emotional, and mental health challenges.

This role suits educators seeking meaningful work in an engaging environment, supporting vulnerable young people who need specialised academic assistance. The position offers competitive pay while providing essential educational support to students with diverse learning needs.

School/Organisation

The tutoring will be placed at the pupil’s home. There will be risk assessments in place for this.

Assignment Details
  • About 15 hours weekly (3 hours daily, Monday-Friday)
  • 1:1 support for KS3/4 students at central venue
  • Long‑term position following outreach curriculum
  • Serves pupils with learning difficulties functioning below age expectations
  • Experience with SEND/SEMH students
  • Based in Middlesbrough or surrounding areas

As a successful Tutor with Connex Education Partnership, you will possess:
  • Hold a QTS Qualification
  • Have experience working with individuals with SEN

  • Be able to immediately start
  • Hold a DBS on the update service or be willing to apply for a DBS through Connex
  • Be able to show proof of work in the UK
