We’re looking for a talented Sous Chef to join our kitchen team at Jamie’s Italian. You’ll support the Head Chef in running a high-energy, high-standard kitchen that celebrates fresh ingredients, Italian simplicity, and real cooking from the heart.

As Sous Chef, you’ll lead by example – cooking with consistency, developing chefs through structured training, and helping to create a positive, people-first culture. You’ll be a key player in delivering the world‑class food standards Jamie’s Italian is known for, ensuring every plate feels authentic, rustic, and full of flavour.

About the Role
  • Uphold Jamie’s Italian ethos – world‑class food, made with care and consistency
  • Support the Head Chef in running daily kitchen operations.
  • Deliver Food Passion sessions and pre‑shift briefs with energy and pride.
  • Train and develop the brigade using our Grassroots programme.
  • Ensure compliance with HACCP, COSHH, allergens & all food safety measures.
  • Oversee specials, daily checks, line audits, prep planning, and standards.
  • Maintain labour levels, food margins, stock control, and waste reduction.
  • Step up to run the kitchen confidently in the Head Chef’s absence.
