  • Assist with seasonal menu development using locally sourced ingredients.
  • Lead and motivate junior members of the kitchen team.
  • Uphold food safety and hygiene regulations at all times.
  • Manage ordering, stock control, and supplier relationships.
  • Help drive the kitchen forward as the team pushes for 3 AA Rosettes.

Job Title : Sous Chef 2 AA Rosette Restaurant (Pushing for 3 AA Rosettes)
Location : Clearwell Forest of Dean Gloucestershire
Salary : 42000 per annum approx. 3000 tronc
Job Type : Full-time Permanent
Schedule : 5 days per week including evenings and weekends
Live-in Accommodation : Available at 80 per week (small double room in a shared house shared bathroom with one other room)
About the Role

We are seeking a talented and dedicated Sous Chef to join the kitchen brigade of a prestigious 2 AA Rosette restaurant situated within a 3 Red Star boutique hotel in the heart of the Royal Forest of Dean . The restaurant is known for its refined seasonal menus and is now ambitiously pushing for 3 AA Rosettes .

This is an exceptional opportunity for a driven Sous Chef with a strong fine dining background to work in a creative and quality-led environment. Youll support the Head Chef in daily operations and have input into menu development all while helping to uphold the restaurants longstanding reputation for excellence.

The venue features 20 beautifully styled rooms cottages and suites. It has earned accolades such as The Good Hotel Guides Country Hotel of the Year Sawdays Hotel of the Year and Taste of the Wests Hotel of the Year . Evening service typically covers up to 40 guests focusing on fresh local produce.
