Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years experience in a similar fast-paced restaurant.

Responsibilities

Barrafina is a highly awarded Modern Spanish bar restaurant in London, serving the highest quality seasonal ingredients.

The guests eat and drink on a beautiful marble‑topped bar where they watch the chefs at work. The front of house teams work around the bar, creating an energetic and uniquely enjoyable service. The Sous Chef Role
  • Experience of at least 2 years in a similar role at a fast paced and quality restaurant
  • Provide supportive guidance and training to all Chefs and kitchen teams
  • Coordinate and unify production, line cooking, food preparation and plating
  • Run and lead positively a large team of Chefs
  • Ensure communication between back and front of house
  • Maintain operation and health and safety and hygiene standards
  • Collaborate with Head Chef with specials on a weekly basis
  • At times the role will require to step in and cover any junior position in the kitchen
  • Provide level‑headed and creative approach to people management
  • Assist Recruitment needs, trials, onboarding, and drive staff retention
