What you will do:
  • Independently perform high standards of obstetric ultrasound scans throughout all trimesters.
  • Prepare detailed scan reports for each patient, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Adhere strictly to Fetal Anomaly Screening Programme (FASP) guidelines and local departmental policies.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, providing them with reassurance and clear information throughout the scanning process.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the best care approach for each patient.
  • Remain up-to-date with the latest advancements and best practices in sonography and obstetrics.
Requirements of the Sonographer:
  • To excel in this role, you must be HCPC registered and a qualified Radiographer with specialised experience in Sonography.
  • You need to have recent postgraduate experience in the UK as a Sonographer and possess the right to work in the UK, meeting all immigration requirements.
  • Proficiency in English, both written and verbal, is essential.
  • You must have a UK Case accredited Obstetric Ultrasound qualification and recent ultrasound experience within an NHS Trust.
  • Additionally, you should be able to independently complete obstetric ultrasound scans and reports, maintaining high standards across all trimesters.
