Solutions Architect - Cloud Optimization Success

Overview

AWS Cloud Optimization Success is seeking a Solutions Architect who will build out example scenarios and hands-on labs to demonstrate best practices for deploying workloads in the cloud. This person will work with internal and external stakeholders to help acquire and maintain proficiency in conducting Well-Architected Framework Reviews, use tools like AWS Trusted Advisor and AWS Health, review results, and encourage the resolution of any critical items or improvements detected in the workloads. The ideal candidate will be comfortable talking with implementation engineers as well as with the CTO or CFO.

We help our customers build cloud native applications and adopt new ways of thinking about technology solutions. This role involves extending an information rich product that uses advanced tooling to deliver content and guidance as customers build and operate workloads on AWS. You will work with partners and customers to support adoption and execution of this solution with end customers.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain example workloads and hands-on labs used to educate and onboard partner organizations.
• Shape and deliver strategies to enable AWS Well-Architected best practices across partner and customer communities.
• Lead workshops and labs to enable partners, customers, and internal stakeholders in AWS Well-Architected Framework adoption.
• Serve as a trusted technical advisor for questions on implementation using AWS tooling and customer processes.
• Develop, improve, and execute multi-day workshops; lead white boarding sessions; and respond to inquiries during learning and implementation.
• Work closely with technical teams to dive deep into AWS technologies and collaborate with top talent in the industry.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

• Experience with technical writing and working as part of a distributed team.
• Hands-on experience building, deploying, and running production cloud workloads; familiarity with industry architecture and compliance frameworks.
• Understanding of large-scale complex distributed systems from operational, security, and reliability perspectives.
• Strong automation mindset and track record of designing and implementing cloud best practices (architecture, provisioning, deployment, monitoring, incident management, continual service improvement, cost control).
• Ability to work globally.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience as a Senior Solutions Architect/Consultant supporting cloud workloads across diverse implementations.
• Content and digital asset management experience.
• Experience in high-level programming/scripting languages (e.g., Python, Golang, JavaScript, Java, C#).
• AWS Certifications (e.g., AWS Solutions Architect Professional, AWS DevOps Professional).
• Master’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent professional/military experience.
