Overview

We are currently looking to recruit a new Solutions Architect, who will lead the architectural design and technical oversight of complex technology solutions across both legacy systems and digital transformation programs. We are experiencing an exciting period of company growth, so it is a great time to join our team at our friendly Service Centre, where you will provide expert guidance, governance, and leadership to enable scalable, secure, and future-ready solutions that support organisational goals.

Responsibilities

• Bridge the gap between business strategy and technical implementation, ensuring solutions are effective, scalable, and align with organizational objectives.
• Work as a technical stakeholder aiding business stakeholders in the creation of business cases, contribute to business analysis sessions and consider potential technical approaches and service management implications.
• Support business deliverables/initiatives via facilitating inception and discovery workshops both internally and with strategic partners, bringing opportunities to the business where possible.
• Collaborate with Architectural leads to define, design, and maintain scalable, secure, and high-performance solution architectures, across enterprise and custom-built platforms.
• Drive the exploration and validation of technical feasibility through PoC initiatives, demonstrating potential solutions and validating assumptions before significant investment.
• Act as the architectural lead for projects involving systems such as Salesforce (CRM), Coupa (Procurement), BigChange (Field Service), AI/ML platforms, and in-house developed applications.
• Create and maintain ongoing technical roadmaps for business capabilities.
• Conduct architectural reviews, technical assessments, and highlight ongoing risk profile for the technology set.
• Identify and champion innovative technological opportunities, particularly within AI/ML and automation, that can deliver significant business value and competitive advantage.
• Support the migration of legacy applications and infrastructure to modern cloud-based solutions.
• Maintain technical documentation and ensure knowledge transfer across teams.
• Support technical teams by building relationships internally and with Partners.
• The role will be working out of the Birchwood Warrington Support Office, with travel to site locations as required.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Solutions Architect or similar role in a complex enterprise environment.
• Expertise in architectural design and delivery involving Salesforce, Coupa, BigChange, and AI platforms.
• Strong experience with .NET/C#, SQL Server, React/JavaScript, and modern development frameworks.
• Deep understanding of integration patterns (e.g., REST, SOAP, event-driven architecture).
• Experience designing scalable, secure, cloud-based (preferably Azure) and on-premise architectures.
• Strong knowledge of software engineering best practices, DevOps, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Comfortable using your own judgment and initiative to make decisions in line with our company policies and pricing structures.
• An effective team member with a highly supportive, collaborative approach.
• A flexible and adaptable approach to manage a varied work day in a fast-paced operational environment with multiple tasks, deadlines, and targets while maintaining high standards of accuracy.

Desirable

• Experience in equipment rental, construction, or logistics sectors.
• Knowledge of data architecture, master data management, and data governance.
• Certifications in relevant technologies (e.g., Microsoft Azure Architect, Salesforce Certified Architect, TOGAF).
