Responsibilities

• Ensure the best performance of large-scale renewable energy assets.
• Perform operations and maintenance duties across solar and battery storage sites.
• Ensure adherence to all HSE requirements.
• Test both DC and AC systems, looking for faults.
• Conduct firmware updates and use computer systems to check asset issues.
• Consistent inspection, maintenance, and testing of the systems.
• Look for trends and use data analysis for operations improvement.
• Assist with tasks such as solar panel cleaning and CCTV.
• Be flexible to assist outside your area when needed.

Responsibilities and duties of the Field Service Technician role

Reporting to the Field Service Team Leader you will:

• Ensure the best performance of large‑scale renewable energy assets
• Perform operations and maintenance duties across the portfolio of solar and battery storage sites
• Ensure adherence to all HSE requirements when completing your duties
• Test both DC and AC systems, looking for faults and tracing issues
• Conduct firmware updates and use computer systems to look for issues with the assets
• Consistent inspection, maintenance and testing of the systems
• Looking for trends and using data analysis to see if you can spot any common trends and suggest ways to improve operations as a result
• Occasional assistance with tasks such as solar panel cleaning, some ground maintenance and site CCTV
• Occasional working way from your patch/area and be flexible to help when the business needs this

We are looking for someone with the following:

• At least a level 3 qualification in electrical installation
• 2391 test and inspection is hugely preferred
• Any health and safety qualifications are a benefit
• Full UK driving licence
