A leading cloud software provider in Cambridge is seeking a Software Engineer to develop AHV, an enterprise-grade hypervisor. You will design and maintain features, ensuring performance and security, while mentoring other engineers. The ideal candidate has a degree in Computer Science and proficient coding skills in C and Python, with additional knowledge of UNIX/Linux. This role promotes innovation in the software-defined datacenter environment, working alongside a talented team of industry experts.
Integral to the Nutanix software stack is the Acropolis Hypervisor (AHV). AHV is an enterprise-grade hypervisor tailor‑made for Nutanix's software solution and has reliability, performance and scalability characteristics proven to be capable of meeting the demands of the toughest enterprise and private cloud workloads.
We are seeking to grow our Cambridge-based engineering team with talented software engineers who will help us develop AHV and shape the future of the software‑defined datacenter.
About the TeamThe team is led by industry experts with 20+ years of experience, who are leading AHV development globally. We have a forward‑thinking approach to our work that has retained many of the best elements of start‑up mentality whilst also recognising the need for mature delivery and execution. We work with open‑source technologies including Linux KVM, QEMU, Open vSwitch and Libvirt.
