Software Engineer – Hybrid (Normanton)

Up to £65,000 + Bonus + Excellent Benefits.

The Role

You will be an integral part of the engineering function, designing and developing modern solutions for e‑commerce platforms and enterprise service buses. You will work through the full software lifecycle, from concept and design to deployment and optimisation. This position is hybrid (Normanton‑based) and requires occasional European travel.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain scalable, high‑quality software applications using C#, .NET, and React.
• Work across e‑commerce and integration systems to support business‑wide digital initiatives.
• Collaborate with engineers, designers, and product teams to deliver efficient, modern solutions.
• Participate in architectural discussions and contribute to continuous improvement.

Tech Stack & Skills

Essential:

• Strong experience with C#, .NET, React, and JavaScript.
• Proficiency with Razor Pages, HTML, relational databases, and Micro‑services.
• Understanding of OOP, REST, JSON, WebAPI, and authentication servers.
• Experience with GIT and message/event bus systems.
• Excellent communication and problem‑solving skills.

Desirable:

• Experience with TypeScript, GraphQL, AWS, or Azure.
• Knowledge of Mediator design pattern, NoSQL databases, or Elasticsearch.
• Familiarity with GitLab, Azure DevOps, or JIRA.
