Effra Software Engineer - London

Who we are :

Our founding team met while building the GoCardless product (a UK fintech unicorn). We left to create Effra which is dropping AI into the heart of finance in the healthcare industry.

We use AI and RPA to automate the process of billing and getting paid by health insurers which is otherwise a huge time vampire and a dreadful experience for them and their patients.

We’ve built software that UK health clinics love and we are growing fast. Now we want to scale our technology and bring our products to the whole of the market. We’re backed by top-tier Venture Capital funds.

The role :

We’re hiring a software engineer to join the team as the first engineer outside the founding team (we are all engineers ourselves). You will accelerate our product development and work directly with the users of our software.

This is a brilliant opportunity for someone early in their tech career. You will work directly with our technical founders who will teach you how to build great software.

We’re based in Shoreditch, London and love being face to face most days.

What you’ll do :

• Learn our tech stack : Ruby on Rails and PostgreSQL.
• Design, build and release new features for our customers.
• Automate internal processes, often using AI.
• Build integrations with patient management systems.
• Help with technical support and getting new customers set up.

We care less about your exact background and more about how you think, solve problems, and get things done. You do not need specific experience with Ruby on Rails - as long as you;re willing to learn fast.

• 2+ years writing code and good experience with databases and APIs. Bonus points if you’ve built projects we can try out.
