Qualifications

  • Social work experience with working knowledge of Adult Support and Protection.
  • Ability to travel effectively due to the rural area.
  • Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Membership in relation to working with both children and adults.
  • Registration with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC).
  • Be prepared to participate in standby or other out-of-hours service arrangements, as appropriate.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out assessment and case management within the Oban, Lorn and Isles Operational team.
  • Travel to the Islands of Tiree, Coll, Colonsay, Mull and other islands within the catchment as required.
  • Work independently and as part of a small, busy team with a strong sense of professional identity.

An opportunity has arisen for a qualified Social Worker within the Oban, Lorn and Isles Operational team.

The role will involve assessment and case management and will include travel to the Islands of Tiree, Coll, Colonsay, Mull and other islands within our catchment; the successful candidate will have a strong sense of professional identity and an ability to work both independently and as part of a small, busy team.

If the successful applicant is moving from out with the area a relocation package will be available.
