Job summary

A leading recruitment agency is seeking experienced Social Workers to join the Mental Health Social Care Team in Ealing on a full-time locum basis. The role involves assessing and reviewing the social care needs of adults with mental health challenges, developing support plans, and conducting capacity assessments. Candidates should have a strong understanding of relevant legislation and a professional curiosity to positively impact the community.

Qualifications

  • Experience in dealing with Court of Protection Schedule 21A challenges will be beneficial.
  • Understanding of Mental Capacity Act 2005 and Mental Health Act.

Responsibilities

  • Undertake assessments and reviews in line with the Care Act for adults with mental health needs.
  • Develop person-centred, strengths-based support plans.
  • Conduct capacity assessments under the Mental Capacity Act.
  • Compile Social Circumstances Tribunal reports.
  • Act as a Social Supervisor for conditionally discharged patients.
  • Perform safeguarding enquiries and work collaboratively with the Safeguarding Adults Manager.
  • Participate in the duty system to screen referrals and address queries.
