Job description

We are looking for a Social Worker to join our Learning Disabilities Team.

This role requires a Social Work Qualification with a minimum of 3 years post qualified experience.

About the team

The team works with service users in the council who have learning disabilities to develop co‑produced care plans and conduct risk assessments with their carers.

The aim of the team is to provide support and liaison with local services to promote the independence of each person under their care, ensuring that no form of abuse – physical, mental or financial – is taking place.

The team works hard to support not only the service users to improve their quality of life but also their careers and families, ensuring the wider support network is effective.

About you

The ideal Social Worker will manage time effectively to prioritise their workload and possess good interpersonal skills. Experience working with adults with psychosis and the ability to engage with service users from diverse backgrounds is key to the success of the role. A degree within Social Work (Degree/DipSW/CQSW) with a minimum of three years' experience is essential in order to be considered for this role.
