Overview

Sanctuary Personnel has a permanent Assistant Team Manager position within the MASH Team, based in Slough. Salary up to £58,403 per annum.

Responsibilities
  • As a member of Slough Children First's management team, provide day-to-day management of the team, offering support and challenge to deliver high-quality services that safeguard children and young people.
  • Utilise professional resources and apply theoretical, evidence-based, and practical approaches, including systemic practice, to develop and implement interventions and support for children and families both within and outside the family home.
  • Manage caseload distribution to ensure the needs of the child or young person are met appropriately.
  • Support and challenge the team to meet case thresholds, prepare high-quality reports for court or other purposes, and provide expert advice to navigate legal and organisational processes as required.
  • Co-work complex cases with team members as needed without taking on a specific caseload of their own.
  • Provide day-to-day supervision of case work to a high standard.
  • Deputise for the Team Manager, undertake projects and other duties as required, and undertake work outside office hours as necessary.
Requirements
  • A Social Work qualification or equivalent.
  • Understanding of relevant legislation.
  • Experience in a management role.
  • Social Work England registration.
  • Demonstrable experience coordinating and managing the work of a team.
