Overview

About the Role: This is a hands-on, fast-paced role supporting qualified social workers in safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. You'll be part of a passionate team working across Birmingham, with vacancies at both One Avenue and Lifford House. Car drivers required. Hybrid working available.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with casework, documentation, and direct contact with families
  • Liaise with professionals across health, education, and social care
  • Support assessments, visits, and care planning processes
  • Maintain accurate records and contribute to service improvement
  • Uphold confidentiality and safeguarding standards at all times
Qualifications and Requirements
  • Previous experience in a social care or children\'s services setting (preferred)
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Ability to manage sensitive information with discretion
  • Enhanced DBS check and 5 years of references
  • Valid UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
Contract and Benefits

Contract: Temporary | initially for 3 months likely to be extended.
Hours: 36.5 per week | Mon-Fri, 08:45-17:15
Rate: £13.70/hr PAYE | £17.65/hr Umbrella/Ltd
