Overview

Locum Social Worker - Adults Locality Team, Doncaster UK, £32 hourly, Full Time, Ongoing.

What you will do

• Provide a professional social work service to adults within a multi-disciplinary team.
• Carry out the statutory duties of the Directorate in relation to adults, following all policies and procedures.
• Manage your own caseload under the supervision of the Team Manager.
• Undertake social work tasks closely with other professionals to assess needs and deliver care packages.
• Develop skills in working with older adults, including those with mental infirmity and physical disabilities.
• Collaborate with team members and assist them when needed.
• Cultivate special interests aligning with service priorities.
• Forge links with other agencies, including statutory, voluntary, and community groups.
• Participate in the duty system during office hours on a rota basis.
• Engage in any other duties relevant to the role.
• Use IT applications effectively for inputting, recording, and communicating information.

Essential Requirements

• CQSW/DipSW/CSS qualification and relevant experience in social work intervention, assessment, and care planning.
• Good grasp of current legislation, strong interpersonal and communication skills, teamwork ability, and IT proficiency.
• Understanding of Equal Opportunities Policy and its application in practice.
• Flexibility and adaptation to changing work practices.
• Willingness to obtain or enhance qualifications and training.
