Role purpose

In this role, you’ll be supporting the day-to-day function of OVO’s social media team, helping communicate the OVO brand, products and campaigns through engaging content that helps grow our social media presence and support our customers.

This will include working with our in-house teams and social media agencies to support the creation of monthly content calendars, influencer content and campaigns, daily community management, and reporting.

What you’ll do
  • Identify, plan and create monthly social media content with an eye for spotting content opportunities and integrating trends into BAU output.
  • Understand social media metrics to monitor content performance and help track learnings to improve output.
  • Collaborate with the Social Media Manager and Studio to create engaging content; manage end-to-end planning and production with our in-house Studio.
  • Support day-to-day posting and platform management of OVO’s social media accounts; liaise with agencies to execute influencer marketing campaigns and special content projects.
  • Work with the Care team to identify customers needing support and ensure strong community management and customer service on social media.
  • Engage with other functions (Studio, Brand, Advertising, Marketing, Commercial, Corporate Affairs) to support OVO’s brand, marketing strategy and corporate affairs.
Responsibilities
  • Fascination with social media culture; translate messaging into effective, entertaining content for online audiences.
  • Knowledge of reels and video; leverage internal teams and products to resonate with customers.
  • Day-to-day posting and platform management; support team to meet objectives and grow channels/community.
  • Exposure to cross-functional collaboration across creative, commercial and reputation areas.
Requirements / Qualifications
  • Experience in a social media team (in-house or agency).
  • Experience managing posting, scheduling and content calendars for multiple accounts.
  • Ability to blend data-driven insights with creative ideation.
  • Knack for creating native-to-platform video content (e.g., filmed on iPhone).
  • Affiliation or familiarity with brands that have strong online communities.

  • Collaborate with in-house Studio and designers to manage end-to-end content planning and production with the Social Media Manager.

  • Occasional willingness to work out of hours as part of the Communications & Social team rota.
What you’ll get

Compensation £25,086 - £30,000 depending on skills and experience. Open to discussion if expectations differ.

On-target bonus of 15% with a single plan focused on collective performance toward Plan Zero.
