A leading sports and media company in the UK is seeking a Social Editor to deliver engaging social media video content. The role involves managing video editing projects and identifying new trends in social media. You will be responsible for the delivery of highly engaging and channel optimised social media video, designed to excite and attract new audience to both our existing and emerging channels.
Be responsible for the delivery of video edits specific to channel best practice, latest trends and social channel innovation.
Lead the execution of regular cadence and channel specific output, delivering edits against deadlines set out by the Social Media Programming Manager.
Craft a wide range of video content for our platforms from social media trending transitions to short form videos and show reels.
Aide in the execution of content delivery and management – ensuring all editing projects and content is managed efficiently and effectively for cross team workflow efficiencies.
Play a role in identifying new and emerging social media content trends, ensuring the Team are early adopters or setting the trends that gain social footprint across both our current and emerging audiences.
Help ideate and develop social media video creative and concepts, aiding in the reach of overall project viewership and impact goals.
Work through the Team archives – identifying key reactivation opportunities and edits to optimise our video archive and ensure always on creative is fed to our channels.
Work to tight deadlines and edit delivery timelines, ensuring quick execution to maximise opportunities for the Teams channel output.
Log and implement review notes and feedback as part of the overall post production workflow.
Demonstratable experience within the creative/ social media space.
Exceptional skills in video editing – Social first, 9:16 video editing experience is essential
Exceptional competency with video editing tools and skilled in motion graphics
A passion for social media storytelling and creative.
Experience in content workflows and content delivery and management processes
Skilled in Premiere pro, at least a basic level of after effects and also capcut knowledge is preferable
