A support organization is looking for someone to assist an individual with Down Syndrome in building everyday life skills. The role is flexible, requiring up to 6 hours per week, where you will support activities such as shopping and cooking. Ideal candidates are kind and patient, able to serve as a positive role model. This position offers a pay rate of £14 per hour and involves a DBS check funded by the employer.
Location: Westbury
Hours: 6 hours per week, up to 24 hours per month in total (flexible)
Pay rate: £14 per hour
Holiday: 5.6 weeks per year including bank holidays (pro rata for part time)
Driving licence: Yes but not essential
DBS check: Yes, will be funded by the employer
A 20-year-old female who has Down Syndrome. I live at home with my mum, dad and our dog Tess. I am happy, cheerful and kind. I enjoy music, singing, cooking, swimming and going to the cinema. My friends and family are really important to me.
I would like to continue building on simple life skills like shopping, cooking, and having fun. The role is for up to 6 hours per week. The days and timings are flexible to a degree and can be arranged as and when required.
