Overview

An opportunity has arisen for an SMT Technician to join a world-renowned electronics Group, serving the global test and measurement industry. This is a key position offering variety, technical challenge, and long-term career progression in a growing sector.

Responsibilities

The role of SMT Technician, in Essex, requires the smooth day-to-day running of a fast-paced Surface Mount Department working on two production lines and all other peripheral equipment often working to very tight time scales. Producing a large range of mixed technology printed multilayer & double-sided circuit PCBA's used in the test and measurement industry,

  • Program, set and operate all equipment within an SMT environment, including:
  • Screen printers
  • Pick and Place machines
  • AOI
  • Vapor phase oven
  • X-ray
  • Rework and repair stations
Qualifications

The SMT Technician, based in Essex will have:

  • Experience working in SMT departments
  • IPC610, IPC7711/21 & J-standard 001J preferred qualification.
  • Hands on experience of the day to day running of pick and place equipment and working in SMT departments.
