East Bay Community Action Program (EBCAP) is seeking a Dental Van Driver (part-time/per-diem) for our 19 Broadway location in Newport, RI.

Make a difference in the lives of patients and children!

The EBCAP Van Driver is responsible for providing customer satisfaction through on-time, accurate, delivery of the “Smiles” Mobile Dental van to designated locations within the East Bay region of RI, which promotes EBCAP’s objectives of empowering children to practice good oral health.

Responsibilities
  • Operate and safely drive “Smiles” dental van (approximately 8 feet long) within the East Bay region of RI.
  • Perform daily set up of “Smiles” dental van at scheduled locations. This includes safety setting up of the van, dental equipment, cleaning, restocking.
  • Provide effective customer service as the “first point-of-contact” to dental partners, event coordinators, volunteers, and the public, which may include answering basic EBCAP program information, answering logistics questions, etc.
  • Deliver and pick up registration packet/forms to and from each school location.
  • Accurately complete and maintain all DOT and company documents, such as vehicle logs, as required by law and company practice.
  • Communicate through in-person meetings, phone, email, etc., with EBCAP Dental Site Manager or designee to gain information for scheduling, review event requirements, and record results as required.
What you will bring to our team

Minimum of (2) years of professional driving experience in a delivery vehicle at least 8 feet in length (such as a bus or delivery vehicle).

Physical Requirements

Must be able to drive a motor vehicle, lift, bend, pull, push and stand and set-up vehicle and equipment daily, to include up to 50 pounds at a time.
