Job summary

A leading recruitment firm is seeking a candidate for a hybrid role focused on handling SME commercial accounts. The role involves managing renewals, mid-term adjustments, and providing support to a senior broking team. Ideal candidates will have a strong knowledge of Motor and Fleet policies, experience in a commercial lines broking role, and familiarity with Acturis. The position is based in Bolton, with 3 days in the office and 2 remote.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a broking/SME handling role (Commercial lines).
• Strong knowledge of Motor and Fleet policies.
• Experience using Acturis preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage SME commercial policies across Motor, Fleet, Shops, Tradesmen, Liability, and BI.
• Handle renewals, mid-term adjustments (MTAs), and occasional new business.

Overview

Location: Bolton, Hybrid role - 3 days in office, 2 from home

Purpose

To support the team during a maternity leave period, handling SME commercial accounts with a focus on renewals, MTAs, and some new business. Initially renewals-heavy to build pipeline.

Responsibilities

• Manage SME commercial policies across Motor, Fleet, Shops, Tradesmen, Liability, and BI
• Handle renewals, mid-term adjustments (MTAs), and occasional new business
• Provide support to the wider Corporate and Senior broking team
• Deliver a high standard of service in line with company and FCA guidelines

Day-to-day

• Process client documentation and renewals through Acturis
• Liaise with insurers and clients for terms, queries, and cover requirements
• Maintain accurate records and update systems accordingly
• Work both independently and alongside account handlers/executives

Experience

• Previous experience in a broking/SME handling role (Commercial lines)
• Strong knowledge of Motor and Fleet policies
• Experience using Acturis preferred

Skills

• Organised, detail-focused, and confident communicator
