SmallWorld Senior Software Developer

Location: Reading, UK

Worker Type: Contingent

Duration of contract: 6 months to 1 Year B2B mode

Work Mode: Hybrid-2-3 days from client location

Job Description

Your Role

• Requirements gathering and Requirements analysis
• Requirements implementation and Application development
• Environment setup and sessions configurations with Smallworld product versions 5x and above.
• Provide solutions for complex application development
• Development of multiple custom applications
• Involvement in creation of technical documents like low level design documents, deployment documents, setup documents, Test case documents etc.
• Work with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the software development life cycle
• Documentation of functional, non-functional specifications, Solution designing, use cases, processes and business process improvement and acceptance criteria.

Technical Abilities

• Proven experience as a Senior Software developer in EO Desktop and EO Web
• Experience in application development and complex application development
• Continuous customer interactions for requirement gathering
• Hands on experience in Smallworld 5.3x and above versions
• strong experience in development of applications using Magik
• Development of GUI functionalities
• Working knowledge of Smallworld application development and configuration using Magik language, Javascript & HTML
• experience in implementing end-to-end enterprise GIS solutions
• Knowledge in integrating with other systems
• hands on experience in REST & SOAP services
• Experience working on Cloud is added advantage
• Excellent communication skills
• Analytical mind and problem-solving aptitude
• Btech/BE in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field
