A climate-focused organization in Kingswear is seeking a Site Operator to ensure safe and efficient operations at their carbon dioxide removal project. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience in an industrial setting, prioritizing safety, and have a proactive approach to operational management. Planetary Technologies’ vision is to protect and restore the ocean and climate for generations to come. We do this by healing the ocean of the acid damage of human CO2 emissions using an antacid to restore the ocean's ability to moderate climate change. Working collaboratively with all of our stakeholders, we develop a cost-effective and sustainable set of tools aimed at protecting and restoring our oceans and climate, ultimately doing carbon dioxide removal and storage at gigatonne scale.

We are now seeking a Site Operator to work with our Operations team to ensure the safe and efficient daily operations of our Dartmouth carbon dioxide removal project site.
This role will be fulfilled primarily at the Nova Scotia Power Tufts Cove Generation Plant. Heated shelter, bathroom and break room facilities are provided, but site operators will otherwise be required to work outdoors for most of their shift. Nighttime and weekend shift work will be required, but will not exceed a standard 40-hour working week.
