Location: Wooler,( Nr Berwick and Alnwick) Northumberland NE72 6QG

  • Working within our Northumberland Team we are looking for Site Operatives to join our expanding team
  • This role is a part time role
  • The working hours will be Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday every other week (i.e. 4 days out of every 14 with 10 days between shifts, working 1 weekend out of every 2)
  • Every other week Summer (April - October) 48 - Winter (November - March) 42

What will I be doing?

Advising and assisting the public on how to use the site in order to maximise recovery of material deposited in the sites.

  • Maintaining accurate records for the removal of material from the site and of all activities on the site.
  • Controlling the exchange of containers, by booking loads with the relevant person thus ensuring the site always has space to segregate and store material correctly.
  • Undertaking first aider duties and fire warden duties on site
  • Any other duties that are reasonably requested within the scope of the job-role

It is an ideal opportunity to learn about the recovery and recycling of household waste.

What are the requirements?

We are looking for an enthusiastic team player, who will be expected to obtain a full working understanding of the site licence / permit and who will work to ensure site operations exceed the standards required.

A flexible approach to work will be advantageous as you will be expected to cover holiday and sick days if required.

The successful applicant will be required to undertake personal development to obtain skills for waste acceptance, operation and maintenance of site equipment. Having basic administration skills for the recording of data SUEZ R & R UK Ltd.’s recording and reporting systems will also be advantageous.

With the potential to gain qualifications including IOSH health & safety, we are looking for an enthusiastic team player who will be expected to join the current site team to ensure operations exceed the standards required.
