Overview

Site Manager - Planned works. Cambridge based. £60k + Benefits.

We are working with a leading social housing contractor to recruit a proactive Site Manager to deliver internal and external retrofit refurbishment projects on social housing and decent homes works across the Cambridge area. This is a client-facing role, responsible for delivering external refurbishment programs to tenanted properties, through effective management of the site team (Assistant Site Managers and Customer Service Officers).

You must have experience delivering similar projects including external cladding with a reputable main contractor, delivering projects on time and within budget, while ensuring health and safety standards are adhered to at all times. We are looking for a hands-on Site Manager with a proven track record of driving sites through effective management and maintaining site presence.

Responsibilities
  • Controlling the overall direction and financial control of the contract
  • Working in partnership with the client and client representatives to ensure high quality service delivery
  • Cost control and subcontractor management
  • Implementing short, mid and long term programmes for various work streams
  • Carrying out onsite inspections, investigations, inquiries, preparing reports and offering solutions for continuous improvement
  • Handover of properties on time, working to strict key performance indicators
  • Liaison with the client and contract administrators
  • Health and safety on the site
  • Management and control of site administration and staff
  • Scheduling and procurement of materials
  • Chairs sub-contractor progress meetings
  • Liaising with design teams, client representatives and consultants
  • Programming works using MS Project
Requirements / Qualifications
