Job description

Involve working with a highly respected, busy regional contractor with live projects ranging from £5M-£30M across multiple sectors, including leisure, education, social housing, and health. With a strong pipeline of work and multiple imminent project starts, the company is operating at full capacity and now requires an experienced Site Manager to take the lead on a new education scheme. You will lead the delivery of a £7M new teaching block within a live high school environment. The role demands a proactive, hands-on Site Manager who can drive the project from inception through to completion, ensuring the highest standards of health and safety, quality, and programme delivery.

Responsibilities
  • Full site management responsibility for a £7M live school project
  • Programming, planning, and sequencing of works
  • Leading a site-based team, subcontractors, and direct labour
  • Reporting to a roaming Contracts Manager
  • Managing stakeholder relationships, including senior school staff and local authorities
  • Ensuring rigorous adherence to health & safety and safeguarding protocols
  • Coordination of daily site logistics within a live school setting
  • Maintaining build quality and ensuring the project meets time, cost, and quality targets
The Ideal Candidate
  • Proven experience delivering education projects, ideally in live school environments desirable
  • Ability to confidently lead a project from the ground up
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • Sound knowledge of construction regulations, health & safety, and programme management
  • SMSTS, CSCS (Black/Gold), and First Aid certified
  • DBS clearance or willingness to undergo enhanced checks
