A prominent construction company in Christchurch is seeking a Site Construction Manager to oversee two exciting new build projects. The role involves managing daily operations, ensuring health and safety compliance, and leading site teams to ensure project quality and completion on time. Ideal candidates will have a degree in construction management or equivalent, along with SMSTS certification and significant site management experience.
Salary : £40,000 - £45,000 or £250.00 - £300.00 per day
Hours : 45 per week
Our client, Broad Construction Limited, is looking to recruit a Site Construction Manager to join the team immediately to work on two exciting new build projects. The position is offered on a temporary to permanent basis.
As a key member of the Broad Construction Ltd Site Management Team, you act as the main representative on site during the construction stage of the projects. You will be responsible for the daily operations on the site or section of a project including planning, execution and delivery of a project through to completion. You will manage and lead the Site Construction Team and the sub-contractors during the construction stage of the project.
In addition to holding either a degree in construction management, civil engineering, surveying, NVQ Level 6 in Construction Site Management or equivalent vocational experience, you will also have obtained your Site Management Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS) and hold a CSCS Black Card.
You will currently hold the position of Site Manager or have demonstrable experience as an Assistant Site Manager / Site Supervisor managing premium residential client sites. You will have a proven track record of overseeing the entire construction project lifecycle, experience of co‑ordinating and supervising on site teams, ensuring quality on building materials and workmanship is maintained at all times. You will be able to show that you have managed and maintained excellent health and safety on site and be able to manage relationships with multiple stakeholders.
You will be client focused and committed to delivering a high‑quality experience and exceeding client expectations. You will be someone who takes ownership of challenges and drives progress, who can adapt and is responsive to change. You will have to balance this with being commercially aware, understanding business context and making informing decisions regarding costs and materials so that projects are delivered on time and within budget.
