A local government authority in West Bromwich is seeking a Facilities Services Operative to ensure site safety and cleanliness for visitors, staff, and students. Responsibilities include logging maintenance issues and supporting daily operations through various management tasks. The role requires flexibility, as the working week includes weekends and evenings for special events. The position is part of a 12-month apprenticeship program aimed at training and employment.
Provide daily response with regards to site safety for visitors, staff & students, logging & reporting maintenance issues, maintaining site appearance, ensuring cleanliness & grounds upkeep. Support daily operations through premises management (fire safety, asbestos, risk assessments, COSHH) and event preparation.

Apprenticeship Level: Intermediate
Working Week: Start and finish times between 7am - 5pm, working 5 days out of 7 on a rota basis, including every other weekend, some evenings for special events, and bank holidays. This is a 7-day service, as animal care must be maintained every day.
Expected Duration: 12 Months
